Clyde B. Phillips is a writer and producer for television and film. He was nominated for the Edgar award for Best Television Episode (Teleplay), for writing the episode "Crocodile" of television series Dexter.
He has written for the shows Dexter, Shout About Movies, Suddenly Susan, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Midas Valley, and Trapper John, M.D.. He has worked as a producer on Players, A Royal Love Story, If Things Were Different, Bud and Lou, and as an executive producer of the shows Dexter, Get Real, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, Eddie Dodd, Cop Killer, Houston Knights, Northstar, and Midas Valley. Phillips was nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for best dramatic series at the February 2008 ceremony for his work on the second season of Dexter. He was nominated for the same award at the February 2009 ceremony for his work on the third season of Dexter. He was nominated for the WGA award a third consecutive time at the February 2010 ceremony for his work on the fourth season of Dexter.
He has recently signed a deal with Lionsgate that involves transferring his entire crew on Dexter to the East Coast.
