I was very disappointed in this book. The characters are shallow and spoiled and there were times where I just wanted to slap the main character Isabel. She arrives in Paris after breaking off her engagement three days before the wedding because of a disagreement over cake. Then, a fortuneteller informs her that she will marry aristocracy - all within the 10 days that she will be in Paris. It's all just so far-fetched and stupid. I had put Christmas in London on my Wish List, but deleted it after reading this one.
A quick read that has a lot of information about Paris and its sights. Not really a Christmas Story, but a love story.
I liked it, my wife did not
