Good read! A little hard to get into because of the womanizing at the start but the plot draws you in. Lots of twists and turns. If you like Stuart Woods you won't be disappointed.

I found this to be an interesting book about a hardboiled NYC homicide cop who moves to Florida thinking he's going to have a cushy cop job in a low-crime area. There are hints that take you down backroads only to find out that you must turn out and go down another path. Woods keeps you guessing from start to finish.
This book is pretty good. It's about a once pro tennis player who has become a womanizing tennis coach in Key West and gets involved with the wrong married woman and is caught up in a bizarre apparent homicide. Good read.
From the front cover---A real page turner...with surprises along the way-----very true.
I usually only read the Stone Barrington and Holly Barker books. I was surprised at how good THIS book was. I consider it a page turner! Kept my interest. It takes place in Key West. I was there last year...and felt I was back again.
I recommend this book.
I recommend this book.
You have to love Suart Woods - Murder, Mayhem and Humor!
A suspenseful romp through Key West's bars, bistros, and bedrooms.
Mystery set in Florida involving tennis pros. Different and good.
Not the best Woods has to offer, but entertaining nonetheless. Not many books out there combining tennis pros with mobsters!
I really like this author, all of his books are good reading, including Choke.
This is a light read-overnight book, taking place in Key West. Chuck Chandler, who has gone from playing in the Wimbledon tennis classic to becoming a womanizer and coach at elite tennis clubs around the country. He becomes entangled with the wrong woman, as a bizarre murder takes place ..... bringing a retired New York homicide detective into the picture.
Like all of Stuart Woods books, this is a very easy read. It has a lot of interesting twists and turns thru out it. I find it hard to put his books down because I want to find out who did it. Highly reccomment this book.
Another Woods page-turner with a wild ending.
MURDER IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT

Now at Key West's Old Island Racquet Club, Chuck gets involved with the wrong married woman--the enticing Clare Carras, married to an enigmatic older man--and soon he is in way over his head.
Enter Tommy Sculley, a retired New York homicide detective who has just joined the Key West force, and his young green partner, Daryl Haynes, who turns out to be smarter than he looks. Up to their necks in an investigation of a bizarre apparent homicide, the two detectives barely keep afloat in murky waters. Events take them from the Florida Keys to Los Angeles and back, as a plot emerges that involves not only the dangerous Clare, but a furious West Coast mob boss determined to get back what is his at any cost.
