This book was good, I enjoyed it, especially since it was laugh out loud funny. The problem is that the tone in the first 2/3rds of the book is funny and light, and moves directly to serious with a mystery in the last third of the book. Had the book kept it's light tone and flowed a little smoother, it could have earned 5 stars. It has LOTS of kids in the book, which I enjoyed, some who may not. All in all, a good read, one for you to put on your TBR list.

This was a wonderful book to read. It was light and engaging. Once I started, I couldn't put it down,: I finished it in 7 hours! There are a lot of trists to the book, so it is engaging from beginning to end. You just can't wait to see what happens to the heroine next.

I finished Charming The Prince by Teresa Medeiros also. This was a historical book set around medieval times. Willow is a mistreated lady who has been taking care of her stepmother's awful children for 13 years while her simpering papa allows it. Lord Bannor decides he needs a mother for his children (he has a dozen or more illegitimate ones residing in his castle). He sends his Steward Hollis to find him a bride...with specific instructions that she must be mother material, not very pretty, and maybe even a little fat. Hollis sees Willow from a distance and thinks she is the one. When he realizes his mistake (Willow is thin and beautiful) the deed is already done and he has married her by-proxy (I think that is the word) for Lord Bannor. She agrees because anything is better then Stepmother Blanche and her sniveling horrid children. Or so she thinks...she then meets Bannor's kids. This book was also written in the mid 90's and back then I was on a little Medeiros binge and read a handful of her books. I think this was one of them because it all sounded so familiar. Of course when you have a "Cinderella" type storyline they all kind of sound similar. This book was rather funny in spots and the ending just made me a fan again of Medeiros. I was contemplating between 4 and 4 1/2 stars but I think the cheesy phrases of the time referring to silky nether curls and Pearly Dew annoyed me enough to give the book 4 stars. To me this means you should definitely read this book but it isn't necessarily a keeper.

Not a great one of hers. The plot concept is a good one but I found her execution of it lacking. I didn't believe the love story, and the kids kinda took over the plot too much.

This historical romance reminded me of a cross between "Cinderella" & "The Sound of Music." The female lead leaves her (unhappy) childhood home for an arranged marriage to a man with 12 children. Well written with cute dialoge and lots of humor. Kept me entertained and laughing.

Although I laughed out loud at several points in the book - the heroine certainly learned to stand up for herself - I found the plot predictable. Charming enough to read if you've got nothing else clamoring from your bookshelf.

I loved this book. I do not normally read nor enjoy romances in which one of the main characters have children; however, Medeiros' writing is so charming and funny that she made it work. This is one of my keepers and I plan on rereading it many times.

this is a nice story. My first by this author but I have asked for 2 more books by her. She is very good at character development and it was a "honey can you get your own dinner while I finish this?" type of book.

This book was wonderful, a kind of Cinderella story. A twice widowed warrior with 12 children sends his assistant to find a mother for the unruly children. He's clueless as to how to raise the children as he's been away at war for most of their lives. His instructions to the assistant are for a wife that he won't be attracted to, so he won't be tempted to father more children. The woman brought to him is beautiful, which creates further issues for him. I've loved EVERY book I've read by Teresa Medeiros. This one did not disappoint!

I loved this book! Teresa Medeiros is one of my favorite authors for her great sense of humor and realistic views on life. I've read many books with good endings but nothing comes close to the perfect ending of Charming the Prince.

Much has been said about this book but there are a few things I can add. This is a wonderful book! It will get to you on all emotional levels--humor, romance, tenderness, betrayal, and even a couple of villains. Both our hero and heroine have lost people in their childhoods that they counted on for love and protection. This has made them the people they are as adults and has determined how they will treat each other and others around them. What I really liked is that they are both strong people and people that I can respect. The story is well crafted, the characters have depth, and it moves at a rapid pace that will just beg you to not put it down.
