Discovered I have two of this book. This is not a diet plan. It is a way to eat healthy and lose weight.Very good program.

much more realistic and attainable weight loss program. successfully lost and kept off 25lbs following the book. no prescribed meals, but some great recipie suggestions.

Excellent and reasonable approach for sustained weight loss! Focuses on slowly learning about better nutrition, making better choices, and changing behaviors that contribute to becoming (and remaining) overweight. My family has benefitted tremendously from this book, particularly my husband, who now controls diabetes completely through his dietary intake, and having lost about 75 pounds, has better blood chemistry than when he was in college (he's over 50 now). It does not matter if you are young, middle aged, or elderly, this book puts YOU in charge of changing just one thing in your lifestyle each week. We liked feeling more in control of making the decisions, and have together lost and kept off over 100 pounds as a couple.
