I love this series which manages to stay fresh with its rolling collection of main characters taking the center stage in turns. A pregnant Elena takes on a "minor job" which results in Toronto being infected with zombies, cholera and rabid rats. You need to start this series at the beginning as there is a lot of character resolution in this entry.

Armstrong's Women of The Otherworld series gets better and better. This time, we are centered on Elena again. A very pregnant Elena, who gets the pack involved in a deal to steal a letter supposedly written by Jack the Ripper over 100 years ago.But something happens and a portal is opened possibly letting Jack loose in modern-day Toronto.Another one that kept me up late, biting my nails, waiting to see what would happen next. Also, we get visits from Jaime Vegas and are introduced to a new Vamp, Zoe. At first, I didn't like Zoe, but I warmed to her and hope to see her in upcoming books. Are you listening, Kelley? lol

continuation of the women of the otherworld series. I have read all of the series and this one is also very entertaining. this series has not gone down hill like a lot of them do.

This book got pretty good reviews on Amazon, and I'm not sure why. I found it dull, and had to pick it up multiple times, in between reading other books, to finish it. I've never been engaged by Elena (I found Eve to be the most ambiguous and interesting character) and the "Jack the Ripper" angle didn't interest me at all. The plot turns into a series of "go here, do this, do that," and that loses appeal quickly. It's a decent story continuing the "Women of the Underworld" series, but it isn't a great book.

I was really happy to be back to Elena. I really love this group of werewolves. When I read the description on the back cover, though, I was worried about the portal - I thought that Elena might go through it and be stuck in 19th century England without the others. Fortunately, that didn't happen and I got to spend the whole book with the whole group. I'm also really starting to like Jaime (which is good since the next book is hers).

I was a little skeptical of this book after reading the summary however since I have really enjoyed all of the Otherworld stories so far I decided to give it a try. The whole Jack the Ripper thing seemed a bit much for me but Kelley Armstrong made it work. I love her writing style and she makes the characters so likeable and real. I definately recommend this book.

Loved the twist of the pregnant werewolf and that Armstrong keeps her heroines strong and feisty. This is a great read.

Honestly, one of my favorite authors. She needs to write more and quickly!!

Yay! Another Elena book! While I've loved Paige's and Eve's stories, I was very excited to read about this new and exciting twist in Elena's life. I was so happy with where Clay and Elena were in their relationship in this book. I thought Kelley Armstrong wrote the story of Elena's pregnancy very well, and it lacked NO amount of danger or romance! I loved the reappearance of Jaime Vegas, and I'm excited to read HER story next.

The 6th installment of the Women of the Otherworld series goes back to the werewolves. Elena is pregnant, a first for werewolves who do not procreate by progeny but rather by infection, and therefore a cause for worry at the same time as celebration for her mate and pack. When they exchange a favor for information on a rogue werewolf, they are asked to steal back a stolen document which is supposed to be a letter from Jack the Ripper. Instead, it turns out to be a portal, and it looks like they have unleashed the legendary killer into our world. Armstrong has written another excellent story featuring her strongest character creation, and the added intrigue of Elena's groundbreaking pregnancy gives this a different twist.

It wasent as good as her other books. I thought it could of been better, but it was still nice to read about the werewolves again.

Oh, I really liked this one - it was nice to be back with the werewolves, particularly with the added fun of Elena being pregnant. I know the series isn't over, but I don't have the rest, so I'm curious to see where it goes next...

Elena Michaels is back in the 6th book in the series...this time she's pregnant! Another great book from Kelley Armstrong. Highly recommend this series!

Elena is the only female werewolf. Werewolves are either born with the gene â" and it's only passed to boys â" or bitten and women usually die. Except Elena. Elena was Bitten but she lived.
The pregnancy is troubling â" there hasn't been a werewolf pregnancy so no one knows what to expect. It would be an understatement to say she was bored witless, so when something comes up that requires her expertise â" and seems harmless â" she jumps at it.

Of course, it isn't harmless. Elena inadvertently opens a time portal and a serial killer and 2 zombies are loose in Toronto. Elena, Clay and Jeremy stay in Toronto to try to send the serial killer and his zombies back. Along the way, they ask Zoe, a vampire, and Jaime, the necromancer, for help. For some reason, the serial killer and his zombies are targeting Elena specifically. The Pack and its friends have to find out why and what to do to close the time portal.

The ending is nearly saccharine but the reader â" at least this reader â" can't help but cheer for Elena and Clay.

Listened on audio. But definitely better than some of the earlier books in the series. It's not one of my favorite series.

Elena is back, and she's pregnant. That doesn't slow her down much, though, in this great story that revolves around the "From Hell" letter, purportedly from Jack the Ripper. A bit less of the "other" Supernaturals, but those who are already Armstrong fans will not be dissapointed.

Elena Michaels is pregnant with her first cub. Surprisingly, she is also chasing Jack the Ripper who is loose in Canada. Sounds insane, but Kelley Armstrong can really spin a tale.

A very pregnant Elena is going stir crazy and wants out of the house. When a contact calls and offers her a deal - the location of a mutt (which is generally a Werewolf who is not in a pack and who hunts man)for the retrieval of the Jack the Ripper "From Hell" letter - Elena jumps at the chance. She manages to convince Clay and the Alpha Jeremy and they are off to her old stomping grounds in Toronto.

Of course nothing is ever as easy as it seems and nothing is exactly as it seems either. A tiny little act triggers the opening of a portal and out pop a couple of zombies who seem to be really intent on going after Elena. The portal also seems to have triggered a cholera epidemic in Toronto and suddenly the cities rat population is going kinda whack-o. Elena and the gang have to figure out how to right the wrong and get the portal closed and keep Elena and her growing belly safe from Zombie cooties.

I am a fan of Kelley Armstrong and although this book was not my favorite - I still could not put it down. In fact - I forgot to bring it with me to work and almost turned the car around when I realized I had forgotten it and went back for it. (Lazy won over need to finish the book and I kept on trucking to work without the book - but it was a close call!) I felt like the plot was fairly predictable and that the characters were a little off their game. I suppose that was supposed to be chocked up to Elena's pregnancy but that feels like an excuse. I also feel like there were a lot of ends not wrapped up in this one. (Did they even actually deliver the From Hell letter?)

I hope we see more of Zoe in future books. I enjoyed her quite a bit.

When pregnant Elena Michaels agreed to do a little job, she didn't know that she would be opening a portal to Victorian London, leaving zombies, cholera and possibly Jack-the-Ripper loose in her hometown of Toronto. Great entry in the Women of the Otherworld series.

I was glad to see Elena and Clay back as the focus of the series. I didn't realize how much I missed them until I read this book. My rating: 4 Stars.

In this thrilling new novel from the author of Industrial Magic, a pregnant werewolf may have unwittingly unleashed Jack the Ripper on twenty-first-century- and become his next target.

Ever since she discovered she's pregnant, Elena Michaels has been on edge. After all, she's never heard of another living female werewolf, let alone one who's given birth. But thankfully, her expertise is needed to retrieve a stolen letter allegedly written by Jack the Ripper. As a distraction, the job seems simple enough- only the letter contains a portal to Victorian London's underworld, which Elena inadvertently triggers- unleashing a vicious killer and a pair of zombie thugs.

Now Elena must find a way to seal the portal before the unwelcome visitors get what they're looking for- which, for some unknown reason, is Elena

I really enjoyed the personal growth between Clay and Elena, the pack is always so protective... It will be interesting to see how the pack adjusts with the newcomers! Looking forward to it! It was nice to get to know Jaime Vegas, necromancer, a little better! And introducing new Toronto vampire contact Zoe... And we can't forget Randolph Tolliver sorcerer and doctor extradinaire! Looking forward to the next installments!
