This was a very good book about the struggle during their most desperate time, and the faith that they held onto during this time. It shows their daily struggle to have faith and hold onto to knowledge that God still works miracles. Elizabeth is a very strong lady, that kept the will to live and survive throughout this horrible ordeal. Her faith and her parents faith will encourage you even today.

This was a very moving book. It was good, but it was also sad it parts. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has ever had to deal with a loss of a child.

A well written interesting read about what the Family of Elizabeth Smart went through in her absence. An Honest and Thought provoking book.

I bought this book hoping to get more of a glimpse into what happened with Elizabeth-they shared very little about her experience (which is fine-I understand wanting to maintain privacy). Rather they shared a lot of what their faith means to them and how they dealt with the ordeal. Great if you want to know more about Mormonism though.
I felt that this book didn't really reveal much that wasn't in the media. It was more of a 215-page proselytization. That people would be so obsessed with their religion baffles me.

Good book that tells the story of how Elizabeth was abducted and brought home. They are a very religious family so the book is a glimpse into their beliefs also.

I think that this was a great book. I really admire the parents for writing from their perspective. They have a strong sense of faith and through out this book, it shows.

Very informative account of the kidnapping.
This story is written by the parents of abducted Elizabeth and their trying story of faith and hope that eventually found Elizabeth safe at home again. The truama and fear that grips them during her abduction and how to help Elizabeth heal.
good read.
I am glad she was found but I will just say the book is not worth the point to swap. I guess if you have a thousand points maybe.
