This was a very good book about the struggle during their most desperate time, and the faith that they held onto during this time. It shows their daily struggle to have faith and hold onto to knowledge that God still works miracles. Elizabeth is a very strong lady, that kept the will to live and survive throughout this horrible ordeal. Her faith and her parents faith will encourage you even today.

This was a very moving book. It was good, but it was also sad it parts. I would highly recommend this book to anyone that has ever had to deal with a loss of a child.

A well written interesting read about what the Family of Elizabeth Smart went through in her absence. An Honest and Thought provoking book.

I bought this book hoping to get more of a glimpse into what happened with Elizabeth-they shared very little about her experience (which is fine-I understand wanting to maintain privacy). Rather they shared a lot of what their faith means to them and how they dealt with the ordeal. Great if you want to know more about Mormonism though.

I felt that this book didn't really reveal much that wasn't in the media. It was more of a 215-page proselytization. That people would be so obsessed with their religion baffles me.

I think that this was a great book. I really admire the parents for writing from their perspective. They have a strong sense of faith and through out this book, it shows.
