This is the story of three generations of women, their secrets, and the house they live in known locally as the Bride's House. Although this is not one of Dallas' best, The Bride's House is still an enjoyable read.

Disappointing for those who enjoy Dallas's work. The characters are thinner than her usual, the plot has large holes, ham-fisted politics thrown in for no reason, and the ending is a bit too neat (and telegraphed, even if it doesn't make much sense).

I've been a fan of Sandra Dallas for years, however, I would have to say this book is a letdown from her other work. Although liberally peppered with recognizable Denver and Georgetown landmarks, the characters have little depth and the story isn't particularly interesting. I'm disappointed.

Not as good as her previous novels.

This book takes place in the 1880's. It was a good family saga. A very quick read.
