You can tell the author has a degree in English because this book is so well written. It does not read like it was written for 12yr olds and has to follow a plot script like a lot of the new authors do. The descriptive words actually describe something besides bedroom antics. I can't wait for the next one.

Paranormal/ Urban Fantasy by Jeannie Holmes. Vampiress Alex is a Federal agent who investigates crimes involving vamps. Her curent case involves vamps who were killed in the same manner as her father. Then her boss sends her former fiancé to aid in the case. Alex left Varik years prior, after he almost killed her. Even though the story had potential, I found it lacking. After bring in town one day, the boss has Varik taking over the case. One character in particular goes from being open minded about vampires to biased against them, in a way that I didn't understand. Then when a loved one of Alex's goes missing, Alex completely loses it and breaks all the rules. The vampires in this world just aren't what I've come to expect. Didn't really care for this one.
