I found this almost unreadable. I'm sure she has some good ideas, but I had to read 30 rambling pages before I got to her thesis, and even then I was underwhelmed. I'm sure I agree with a lot of what she's saying. Unfortunately, too many references, too much flowery language and a manic pace do not make me wait to hear her point.

entertaining and informative! a nonfiction i actually bought for fun AND finished it! that usually never happens with me! only other book i've done that with, i believe was Fast Food Nation.

I found this book really difficult to read. If you read "More Now Again" you will see why. The author had many issues during the time she was writing this book. I enjoyed "Prozac Nation" but found this book to be scattered.
This book is so much more then I expected - it's very historic and academic & I'm very pleased with it ~ It does take a mental mindset to get into though: not a "easy read self-help" book!
Of course I loved this book. :)
