I've found a new favorite author..David Hosp! The characters are painted in vivid colors that leave no room for supposition. The detective duo, Darrius Train (built like a train) and Jack Cassian are an unlikely pair that couldn't be any more different , but are in perfect sync every step of the way. This was an excellent suspenseful book and I'm looking forward to my next Hosp novel.
I thought this book was good. I really love the fact that it is set in DC. However, I did think it was rather formulaic, but it was entertaining.
A legal thriller/murder/mystery set in Boston and written by a Boston attorney. I couldn't put this book down. Hosp is a fairly new author, his debut book being Dark Harbor. The Betrayed at a ssurprise ending. Very well written and the courtroom scenes were excellent.
This is a great read...hard to put down, can't figure out "who" until the end. I will definitely look for more from David Hosp.
Having read his other two books and assumed I would like this one as well. The first 100 pages I thought were slow and I was having trouble getting into the book. However, the last two-thirds of the book were wonderful. The subject matter is somewhat depressing but the story was great. In some ways it reminded me of The Pelican Brief, but that's probably just me. Anyway, I was sorry to see it end. Although, in all honesty, I had the BAD guy pegged halfway through the book, despite the author's attempts to throw you off. I recommend this book.
