ASA LARSSON - i took off but feel free to add on. I liked the first one but can't recommend more. YMMV! Thank you.

I took off ASA LARSSON books (I had just read two) because I really have become uncomfortable reading them. It may sound odd for a Scandinavian mystery fan to say they are just getting too creepy and disturbing, but, they are just getting too creepy and..

Thank you Gerald! I have several Edwardson books but have not started them yet. Just as a side note you have some repeats on the list (or were you trying to give all the editions of the books in which case, nevermind:) Sounds like a great store!

Comment added 2/28/15 by Gerald P. (jpat) - :
A favorite list of authors! I just added in the Edwardson and Sipila books. The latter are difficult to find here in the US. Our local shop Seattle Mystery Bookstore keeps a whole bookcase of Scandinavian mystery authors near the front of the story.

Nesbo's next book The Phantom seems a little toned down but I don't think its necessary for Nesbo to be so graphic in detail. He is a talented writer and doesn't need to. Very unhappy with what he has done to young character..hope next book he changes it

Comment added 1/29/14 by Denise S. (Dargent) - :
Where is Jo Nesbo going with his character Harry Hole? I loved the first few books but found The Snowman so over the top with graphic violence I had to skip parts. Not enjoying the story arc involving (trying not to spoil alert) his friend and family.
