While driving to and fro each day
I saw spring had made its way
Knowing these days were precious few
I didn't stop to enjoy the view

Delighting in blossoming trees
I asked God this day to freeze
til I had the time to take it in
I wonder now was that a sin

He laughed considering my demand
and said your wish is my command
Literally God answered prayer
freezing spring blossoms fair

Don't ask God for change in season
for each day he has his reason
It's up to us to take the time
When God brings days so fine
