  morning started grey with fog
my heart contained the same
another cold and dismal day
would make me go insane
February drab and dull
weeks with more to come
winter doldrums long set in
when will it be done

the sun came out by afternoon
and chased the fog away
at last a sky filled with blue
brings lovely winter day
hoarfrost white upon the trees
reaching heaven bound
delicate as grandmas lace
God’s beauty still astounds

reminding me that if I wait
better always comes
beauty hides within the fog
soon the tears are done
faith and love go hand in hand
don’t loose yours so quick
sorrow comes and sorrow goes
you must not let it stick
