I went to a protest at the local post office today
A great big crowd of 8 people including yours truly
Letting everyone in the vicinity know
Just what we think about the president’s attempts
To steal the election by destroying the postal service

Postal workers under attack?
We stood up and we fought back!
Voting rights under attack?
We stood up and we fought back!
Our democracy under attack?
We stood up and we fought back!
We STAMPed out injustice!
And we told everyone what democracy REALLY looks like

It was inspiring
It filled my heart with joy
Passersby hooted their support
Or raised their fists in support
Drivers tooted their support
And we were all there together for one purpose
And our purpose was right and true
Although I was wilting from the heat
And glad to go home
I am also glad I went
