I miss sharing a morning's sunrise with someone who meant the world to me. I miss sitting on a porch swing, rocking ever close as the sun begins to set on us both. I miss watching a movie, you know the one which makes a tear escape your eye as you sigh and you hold me close. Times we held each other closer, and shared a kiss that reassured each other more then any words could express. I miss doing those little things. I just miss you.

I miss those your comfort and your touch, those moments we pass each other know everything is always ok because we always had each other,I miss your comfort. I miss my lover and my friend,my mate for life, the father of my children.I have the darkness hole that light cannot fill.To even lift my head each day has been terrible, because I miss us. I miss our life, love, our dreams, hope and I feel lost without you. I miss your scent and your warm embrace at night,I feel cold and empty inside.

As my tears continue to fall, I place another yellow rose upon your grave, wishing you hadn't died that day. You could have been on any other road, when that drunk driver came around the curve on that lonely country road! Even now, years later, I still would have taken your place if I could. Life is just like that country road, full of unexpected twists and turns. We never know if we will see each other tomorrow, or at the end of the day. And for everyone who has lost their soul mate.

Life is like that country road, Elizabeth, and I am so sorry you lost your best friend. He must have been a wonderful man.
