There's a hole in my heart
where love should be
When you calm along
I just couldn't see
that you were a gift
from heaven above
I was too blind
to see God's love

I thought you wern't real
but now I dream
of what could have been
my child unseen
A girl or a boy
with blond hair or red
Of years to come
and words not said

God forgives
but how can I
forgive myself
for believing the lie
that a child unborn
is not yet real
and relieve myself
from the pain I feel

Note: personal not political

Real pain here..I hope you sought relief for it through the One True Redeemer, the One who forgives.

I'm sure you made the best decision for yourself at the time. no use punishing yourself for the past. You are idealiiWho knows how it would have turned out anyway. in my case I later found out I couldn't have other children. I could berate myself daily or try to live with the consequences and go on with life.
