This book is a page turner. It holds you from the time you pick it up until near the end.

Joe is a passive man, who lives to take care of his 3 year old son and hang out with his wife. One day he is driving home, sees his wife's car and impulsively follows her. He finds her in a heated discussion with another man. Things transpire until he unveils a terrible betrayal. Through the book Joe is motivated by saving his wife and his son and later himself and his son.

The ending of this book is a little bit forced. It is also improbable. Joe finally becomes stronger, but it is a too little too late kind of thing. Also Joe is incredibly stupid in places. I don't like for the plots of mysteries/thrillers to revolve on the stupidity of the hero. By the time Joe snaps out of it, you are truly starting to not care.

(Spoiler) The fact that in the end, Joe is saved by a child doesn't help either.
