This is a heartwarming western romance with a hero burned by divorce, a single mom struggling with her daughter's selective mutism, and lots of amazing scenery. I liked that the daughter, Lizzie, was portrayed realistically. Although you know you can count on a happy ending, there was no "miracle moment" when she was cured, but rather a slow progression toward health and happiness. The romantic resolution was a little drawn out, but happily ever after does appear.
