The Great Gatsby Cookbook: Classic Recipes Inspired by the Novel

This author decided to create a cookbook with recipes that Jay Gatsby might have offered at his lavish parties in the novel, THE GREAT GATSBY. F. Scott Fitzgerald, the author of this book, was an arbiter of the 1920s, and certainly lived the life of the wealthy of his time. The recipes are upscale and fairly elegant.

The recipes are clear and well-described, so the reader can emulate the cook's directions. There are appetizers, cocktails, main courses, desserts, and teas. There is a color photo with each recipe, although they do not necessarily show the exact item featured. There are no listings of the calories, fats, proteins, carbs, sodium, or other particulars about the recipes. Some recipes (there are 35 in total) are very easy to make (Strawberry Mousse comes to mind) and others are more involved. This book is an interesting concept.
