definitely a good, honest read. i think every woman, and more importantly every man, should read this book. itss a startling account of the authors rape in her freshman year of college. she is beaten physically and emotionally and tells the tale that no woman should ever have to tell. and she tells it amazingly well. the only part that i was unimpressed with was the final chapter 'aftermath'. she spent the first 95% of the book detailing every painful moment, every conversation and emotion, but somehow flew through 10 years in 10 pages in the end. aside from that, i loved it. the experience itself is powerful enough to stand alone, but her writing style creates such a powerful story of her struggle and triumph.
