This mystery series takes place on "The Hamptons" ... home to many rich and famous people from all walks of life.

Detective Troy Johnson is called to the scene of a murder. He, in turn, calls Jenna Preston, a Private Investigator who works on a contract fee with the police department.

Fashion Designer Andre Yellen is found murdered, by the pool. He is wearing one of his own designer dresses (about 8 sizes too small) and a blonde wig.

As Johnson and Preston use their contacts they start piecing together some facts that may not be well known. And when a second person is murdered, it seems as though people are dying to be beautiful.

The mystery portion of the book is well thought out. Many suspects abound ... of course, not all of them tell the truth. There are 'deals' and affairs, as well as plenty of danger.

My favorite characters are Watson, an Irish Setter, and his adopted sister, Aggie.

This is a fast read ... the book is approximately 125 pages. The only complaint I have is that some sentences, conversations, are repeated more than once. (Person A tells Person B something amd then Person B repeats it again.) Other than that, I thought the book was written well, and the main characters very likable.

Many thanks to the author and Word Slinger Publicity who provided the paperback copy, as well as a bookmark, in exchange for an honest, unbiased review.
