Dean is perhaps best known for THE RANSOM OF BLACK STEALTH ONE, BUTCHER BIRE and BLOOD OF EAGLES, all more high-tech thrillers than SKINS. But THE SKINS OF DEAD MEN will grab you right up and haul you in from the first chapter. You really care about the difficulties his characters face, and about the ways they try to overcome those difficulties. A top-notch read.

From back cover: Teresa Contreras came to Mexico to forget her tragic past. But when she witnessed Middle Eastern operatives kidnnapping a young boy, she turned to the only person she could trust---Ross Downing, a burn-scarred ex-agent tormented by haunting visions, who was responsible for her own son's death. Together they set out on a desperate quest to rescue the child, and to rebuild their shattered lives.
