I would classify this book as interesting but strange. The main character is a Vietnam Vet who suffers from a brain tumore as a result of agent orange. He comes upon bad times and things just keep getting worse. He "goes south" both litterally and figuratively. He ends up being hunted by a strange pair of bounty hunters, one has three arms and one is an Elvise impersonater. He also ends up helping a young girl with a large facial birthmark try to find a faith healer called the Bright Girl. Everyone ends up in the swamps with aligators and you'll need to read the book to see who comes out!
