I liked Katherine Center's 2nd book Things You Save in a Fire more than I did her 1st How to Walk Away !
I enjoyed Cassie's story and her triumph in overcoming a tumultuous past. It was interesting learning details about working in a Fire Department, however as an HR professional, I'm hoping many of those details were exaggerated for the story!
