Book Review of Understanding special operations and their impact on the Vietnam War era: 1989 interview with L. Fletcher Prouty Colonel USAF (Retired)

I have not seen the book but it seems especially interesting based on the excerpts of an interview with Col. Prouty played on KPFK at 4:30 or 5 A.M. this morning (10 Dec. 2016), this book being the premium for their fund raiser (over a hundred fund raising days this year). He was an Army Air Force vet of WWII who stayed in and came to serve as the liaison with various security elements, starting circa 1955. Thus he attended meetings with the Dulles brothers at the beginning and went on through JFK and LBJ administrations. He has a contrary view of the JFK assassination, pointing out that the usual personnel that would be present on the sidewalks during the motorcade to Daley (spelling?) Plaza were absent. He explains there is a cut off point for a motorcade of 44MPH--at that speed or above it is hard to draw a bead on the target. JFK was proceeding at 6MPH, a relatively easy target. I myself am more interested in Col. Prouty's comments on other matters (he was there!) but this dose of the JFK death events draws in KPFK listeners. At this early hour, they actually scarfed up the ten books that were available!
