Holy crap! I'm not even sure what to say here really... get my thoughts in order.

We go on a journey with Anna as the story goes back and forth between her being on trial for the brutal murder of her best friend and flashbacks of Anna's life with her family, Tate, and friends. You see how close the two girls were, and how Tate strained their relationship some...

I felt like I got to know Anna and everyone over the course of the story, made me smile to see the bonds between them. There a couple moments between with Elisa/Anna that made me raise my eyebrows and wonder though.

Its a roller-coaster of a novel for sure, had me gripping the pages during the last part with Anna's trial.

Dekker was a well-written slimy bastard... wanted to kick him a few times. His methods during the trial had me gritting my teeth a few times and glaring at him through the pages.

Wanted to hug Anna's dad, even though he knew she loved Elise, he still had doubts about Anna's innocence... I can't imagine how I would react in that situation. And Elise's parents... *big hugs* I gave them hugs and hand squeezes the whole time, the pain of what they were going through... I don't have the words.

That ending! I went from thinking Anna had been found guilty then relief at her being innocent then the scene at the grave-site and the final pages of Tate/Elise/Anna back at the house. Shit Shit Shit was what was going through my head.

Looking back on it, you can almost see the trail leading up to everything that happened... Would Elise have still been alive if she and Anna hadn't been friends? Was Melanie lying on the stand?

I am blown away. Well done, Miss Haas... well down *applauds* Looking forward to more of your work.

Did my best to put this into words haha, highly recommend... go read it now! :)
