Having just graduated from college, Sage Tyler is ready to get on with her life. But when her fiance dumps her on Christmas Eve, Sage is humiliated because it happened in front of Harlan Boyd, a new employee of Tyler Drilling. Harlan was sent by the Tyler family to bring Sage back home. He is intrigued by Sage and wants to get to know her better. Sage doesn't want anything to do with him.

This is the last book in Sandra Brown's Texas Trilogy. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Colleen Marlo. She does a fine job with the various characters in this book.

We met Sage in the previous books in the series. She was the youngest sibling in the Tyler family and she had a smart mouth. In this book we get to know Sage a little more. She may be older but she is has not matured. She is still the bratty little sister with the big mouth. She acts like a petulant child who isn't getting her way. Harlan is a quiet man who has volunteered to help the Tylers with their business problems. He and Sage are thrown together trying to develop and sell an irrigation system for the family business. I liked his relationship with the family but I don't know what he saw in Sage. My rating: 3 Stars.
