I'm a huge fan of Eileen Wilks and Lora Leigh and their novellas did not disappoint. They were exactly as good as I'd hoped. Wilks' characters are fascinating and sympathetic and her plotting is very smart. Leigh's Breed series is HOT; in a novella you get more heat and less plot but that's fine by me.

I'd never read Virginia Kantra but I'm going to look for her work now. Her novella had something that makes me want to take a second look.

The only disappointment was Kimberly Frost. Her story just didn't hold up and that's why I couldn't give this anthology 5 stars. It was probably too much of an "outtake" from whatever else she writes so perhaps it has meaning to anyone who reads her series but a story should stand on its own and this one didn't.
