I went into this book knowing that many reviewers were unimpressed. I didn't have high hopes.

I loved every page.

The story is genuine. It's a glimse of what it takes to get out of the Fat Mentality that plagues overweight women. Most of us aren't happy with our size, well-adjusted, and outgoing. Most of us are just like the main character: struggling to overcome our insecurities, trying to lose the weight, and getting used along the way.

I found myself cheering on the main character throughout the book, and although the ending was a bit predictable, I let out a sigh of happiness upon reading the final sentences.

It's a great read. It's a book that you can see yourself in, if you're overweight. Skinny folks just won't get it.
