This is a wonderful story written about a supporting character from the Bess Crawford books, which makes it like a visit with old friends. I love anything and everything I've read thus far by Charles Todd, a mother and son writing team who produce wonderful historical mysteries set in WWI England, France and the Front. Do yourself a favor and read all the Bess Crawford books as well as this one.
