Hmmm, my dad was of Bohemian ancestry, lived a few miles from Halas, but was 9 years younger. Souounds like someone who my dad and I wouldn't get along with. He is described numerous times as "shrewd" and "demands loyalty", I know the flip side of that. Sounds like he has a lot in common with Al Davis and Donald Trump.
