Debbie Mumm has gathered quotations from everywhere and written a few herself to fill this little book with lots of good advice wrapped in affirming blessings. Her illustrations are muted country in tones of gold and blue accented by old barn red and a touch of green. This little book is an ideal gift to carry along in your suitcase to leave behind for those wonderful houseguest-hosts on your summer holidays, or to give as a tiny remembrance at parties whose invitations say to bring nothing but a smile.
Perhaps my favorite quotation is the one by Leo Tolstoy: "The means to gain happiness is to throw out from oneself, like a spider, in all directons an adhesive web of love, and to catch in it all that comes."

Beautiful gift book.
