Enjoyed it as an example of "Irish Magic Realism" (I think I just made up that genre!). It is NOT a mystery per se (many of the reviews I've read describe this as a mystery but it is only nominally one -- the 'mystery' is more of a device used to further the story). However, I thought it was quite amusing with its over the top storyline. If you like your novels unambiguous and in black and white, this is not for you.
