This book tells a story about a part of WWII that we don't ever hear about. Part war story and part love story, it tells about a reporter who goes undercover in order to cover the war in the Aleutians. After surviving his plane's crash onto an island occupied by the Japanese, John Easley struggles to survive and avoid detection, while in Seattle, his wife, plots to find a way to find him, altho no one can confirm if he is dead or alive.

I often say that we will never run out of tales about unknown stories from this war that affected all who lived thru it as well as generations to follow. This book was hard to put down.
