Book Review of Windows 8 for Dummies

Windows 8 for Dummies
reviewed on

This particular copy is the Pocket Edition and I was somewhat disappointed because I had been expecting a full sized book with a lot more information. That having been said, this is a quick reference book that will supply enough information for a complete beginner to get started with Windows 8 but does not go into enough detail, nor cover enough material to be very useful to anyone with an IT background.

If you are looking for something that will show you how to access the Power Button (not quite as easy as one might think until you know how to do it) and other basic navigational features, this book will get you started. Beyond that you will probably be better off looking elsewhere.
