I enjoyed this book but found the Hero's "poor pitiful me" attitude a little wearing. I am also not a fan of the abandonment theme. Now that I have stated what I don't like about his book let me get to what I did like: The Heroine. She is a survivor. She does not fall on her knees at life's little (or big) bumps and blame those around her. She observes and adapts...and I really appreciate that behavior. I did think that she was a little too quick to forgive the Hero but it worked in the story. I would recommend this book to my friends.
