Forced to maintain an uneasy alliance, Mira and Danaus must stop the naturi from breaking the seal between worlds and entering the world of humans, vampires and shifters. The naturi are determined to remove these species from the planet to save the earth. Mira and Danaus are both killers, but also highly principled and loyal, unless that loyalty is broken. Danaus will not kill unless he is attacked or those whom he protects are endangered. He has no true friends even among the members of the group he fights for. Mira is pretty much the same way. She has humans a, shifters and vampires she will protect even if it should take her life. They are both lonely and realize they have begun a friendship. Fighting is fast paced and intense. Fabulous character and world building.
