Maeve Binchy has been a favourite author of mine for decades now and I never thought I would say this, but this book was a disappointment. Many/most of the characters are from other books, so there is the cozy sense of meeting old friends, but it also made me feel that there was not much new here. It is a perfectly adequate book, enjoyable but without much meat. This is a lukewarm review for a lukewarm book. Her many fans will enjoy it but I think many of those same fans will feel as I did, that I just expected and wanted more.
