Gosh, not quite sure what to say about this book. It took me forever to get into it. The book went on and on about how miserable Cannie is as a "fat" woman. After just 10 or so pages, I was tired of hearing about her being fat. I forged on and ended up finishing the book. By the end, I had a little more sympthy for Cannie and was impressed by her willingness to search for happiness and eventually find it. She was likable By the end of the book.
I have the second book in this set, "certain girls", but hve chosen not to read it. I have listed it on this site and another reader has requested it, so out of my house it goes. This is the first author I've read in a while that I won't be reading any more of her books.
