"Jesus Freaks" by dc talk and voices of the martyers and "Rachel's Tears" by Beth Nimmo and Darrell Scott book evaulations.
If you dont read anyother Christian book please read this book, JESUS FREAKS! I recommend it in conjunction with Rachels Tears by Beth Nimmo and Darrell Scott. I give these two books a 10. These are stories that our governement would like to cover up because they dont want you to know just how anti-Christian this governement has become. Call me whatever you want these stories are suppressed otherwise we would have all heard about them by now. Columbine as the book says in Rachels Tears is a Spiritual Event and 13 crosses attest to that.
A young 17 yo girl was confronted by terrorists and they said to her, DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD? She answered yes and then they said it again and she again confirmed her faith...they shot her in the head. This story is no different than so many others in this book , all true, all heroic, but this one jumped out at me because I thought it was someone in another country not in America. I thought it was in historical years past not in 1999. I had just gotten the book titled, "RACHELS TEARS" and had not started it yet when I read this story in JESUS FREAKS and low and behold its the same girl. She is from Columbine High School and Rachel Scott is her name. I would like to send Lavonne and Curt JESUS FREAKS if they dont already have it and I am sending Rachels Tears to my daughter in law, not that shell read it but maybe.
Here is a poem from the book, Rachels Tears written by her Dad while speaking on the need for possible more gun control. His thoughts on this matter are:
Your laws ignore our deepest needs
Your words are empty air
Youve stripped away our heritage
Youve outlawed simple prayer
And precious children die
You see for answers everywhere
And ask the question, "WHY?"
You regulate restrictive laws
Through legislative creed
And yet you fail to understand
That God is what we need! BY Darrel Scott father of Rachel Scott American Christian Maryter
Another quote from Rachels Tears quote:
Duke of Wllington once said, " IF YOU DIVORCE RELIGION FROM EDUCATION, YOU PRODUCE A RACE OF CLEVER DEVILS" end quote.
I agree with him its not more gun control its putting God back where He belongs. I quote my book, The Choice. When we remove God and His precepts from our schools etc we invite violence.
My poems to Rachel and Columbine survivors
13 Crosses by GL
13 lives given to God
13 crosses above the sod
13 voices sing evermore
13 dances on heavens shore
13 families drawn by love
13 heros up above
13 souls in heaven are born
13 people reaching those who mourn
13 hearts in Gods loving care
13 sorrowing students no longer despair
13 leaps of joy and laughter
13 smile everafter
13 lives given to God
13 crosses above the sod BY GL
She became Queen today by GL
She became a Queen today
Forever is His arms to stay
Her King reigns with her hand in hand
Together they will reach our land
Telling America of Gods loving plan
Many will remember Her and say
Her majesty is Queen today!
