A mostly enjoyable romp with a few flaws. I expected a lot more background on Punch and Judy, like all the tidbits we learn about London pubs, underground rivers, and well, the Underground from previous books. Bryant and May act about the same, and as in previous books there is a parallel (not much in the forefront) plot that could have been dropped (although it seems to set up a forthcoming story.) I thought there was a jaw-dropping episode near the end that no detectives would not have taken advantage of to catch their murderer. And the ending itself was sort of silly.
