Andy Carpenter is such a sucker for a dog. His plan to retire from lawyering is a bust because it seems he will take any case that tangentially is related to a dog. Alex looks like a double murderer, but heh, he loves his dog. The question is whether Alex blew up a boat to kill 2 of his business associates? Worse, how did explosive residue get into his home? Why did he hide out instead of notifying the police?
All the usual suspects (Laurie, Marcus, Sam, Pete, etc.) are enhanced with the new characters from K-TEAM books (also by David Rosenfelt) -- namely, Corey Douglas and his K-9partner, Simon Garfunkel. This book is just as much fun as the other Rosenfelt books and heaven knows we need some serious humor at this time (late summer, 2020). Actually, Rosenfelt kicks this book up a notch, but I'll let you discover that surprise yourself. Great reading!
