This author is new to me, and this is the first book in a series, but now I see that there are several conjoined series set in the same world.
I can't say I liked it a whole lot, although the narrative was clear and well-written. Very bloody, filled with pointless death and gore. And there don't seem to be ANY likeable characters. Everybody twists and turns and betrays everybody else.

From back cover: Not since the Black Death has Owain seen anything like the fatal disease sweeping across the world?but this time vampires are the victims. The anarchs suspect a plot by their elders. The elders blame the Sabbat who lurk in the darkest shadows. The Sabbat fear the return of the antediluvians?and no one is ready for them.(Book 1 of the Blood Curse trilogy)
