This is one of those books that you will either like or be sickened by. It's about a kid who was severely abused as a child. Unfortunately, it doesn't answer any of the questions I had reading through the book. What happened to the parents in the end and such. Apparently the other 2 books in this trilogy answer these questions. I however, will not be reading them. It droned on about the abuse without any real "story" to it. I was disappointed in that it just recites one incident after another. While this may have been cathartic for the author (who is also the Child in the book), it left me feeling sick having to read all the details. I understand child abuse happens, but it's not the light bedtime reading I was expecting from the book.
