Good girls don't, Bad girls do, and the best girls do it for the money.
Be warned: This is no tart-with-a-heart, Pretty Woman-style, faux boundary-baiting, tailored for the Middle American. Belle stares challengingly at the reader and never blinks first. Sometimes filthy, often lyrical, always uncompromising and intelligent.
That rare and wonderful thing: a fearless and witty revelation of one woman's sexuality.
It's not unusual in the literary world for women to sleep with sleazy, middle-aged men in order to get a b ook deal. But Belle is the only one I know who got paid for it.
