This is the last in a 4 book series and in my opinion, the most touching. I recommend reading the series in order because characters are introduced in one book and then fully developed in another of the books.
Franny was a young women weighed down by guilt, self-loathing and fearful of society in general. A woman with dreams - dreams of things she knows she can never have. A young women who feels she does not deserve all the good things that happen for other women.
Chase has been raised to believe in both the Comanche way of life as well as the white man. He has great perception and sees far into Franny's soul- farther than she wishes him do see. Chase who wishes to fulfill all of Franny's dreams, those she feels unworthy to obtain.
This is one of the most heartbreaking stories that I have ever read. I do not often feel great emotion while reading a book, but I found myself reading through my tears for much of this story. A story of secrets, hope, healing and great love.
