This is my favorite book in this series! "Crash" Hawken (known as Billy to the heroine) has lots of secrets, like what he did on "gray" ops for the government. When he is accused of killing an Admiral who was like a father to him, Nell, who worked for the Admiral's wife doesn't believe it. She visits him in prison, helps him escape, and joins him on a cross country adventure to clear his name. Along the way they each want to put the other first and come together in the happy ending. Much of the book is told in a flashback, so we also learn the sad and romantic story of the Admiral and his love who died too soon from a brain tumor. Cameo appearances of other SEAL team members from the series add to the thrilling final showdown.
