Book Review of The Book of Ralph : A Novel

The Book of Ralph : A Novel
reviewed on

Ralph is not exactly the friend you'd want for your eighth-grader--he failed grades three and five, already shaves and keeps mugs shots of himself in his wallet. But he's just about the only friend Hank has, so Hank finds himself sucked into Ralph's schemes, most of which don't quite work out as planned. Which is usually a good thing.

Jeff McNally grew up on the southwest side of Chicago in the '70's and in a related series of short-story-like chapters makes the time and place come alive.
